Pre Treatment Instructions
Avoid the use of Aspirin, NSAIDS, Ginko Biloba, Garlic Supplements, Green Tea, Flax Oil, Cod Liver Oil, Vitamins A and E, and essential fatty acids for up to 1 week before and after injection as they will increase your risk of bruising. Talk to your primary physician before discontinuing any medications.
Avoid alcoholic beverages and caffeine 24 hours before (or after) your treatment to reduce the risk of bruising.
You may take Arnica tablets 2-3 days prior to your injection to reduce the risk of bruising.
Do not apply products that are potentially irritating for 2 -3 days before and after treatment (examples include tretinoin, retinol, glycolic acid, benzoyl peroxide, hydroquinone).
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please call the office to reschedule your appointment.
Arrive with a clean face. Please do not wear makeup.
You may experience a mild amount of tenderness during and following injection.
Redness, swelling and bruising are normal after injection. Schedule your appointment at least 2-4 weeks before a special event.
Post Treatment Instructions
Botox/Dysport/Xeomin/Daxxify takes 2 weeks to fully “kick in.” You will start to notice a result in 3-5 days, but the maximum effect happens at 14 days. We can see you back in 2 weeks to make adjustments, but we are unable to make adjustments until it has been a full 10-14 days since your treatment.
Normal for bruising, eyelid swelling, and under eye swelling.
Please stay up right for at least 4 hours.
Avoid icing in the treatment area.
Avoid exercise for 24 hours after your procedure.
Avoid makeup for 24 hours after your procedure.
Avoid hot showers, baths, saunas and steam rooms for 24 hours post-treatment.
Avoid hats or pressure on the treatment area for the remainder of the day.
Avoid facial treatments including laser treatments, skin tightening, chemical peels, microneedling, facials, or brow waxing for 2 weeks after your procedure.
Avoid massages for 2 weeks after your procedure.

Use a gentle skincare regimen recommended by your provider for 1 week after treatment. Restart your regular routine after skin has healed.
To achieve the best results, complete the full treatment schedule at the intervals recommended by your provider.
For Vein Removal or Rosacea Treatment: If any scabbing should occur, keep the treatment site moist by reapplying an inert moisturizer multiple times per day for a week and avoid picking or scratching. Veins may convert to what looks like a cat-scratch from 24 hours up to 2 weeks post-treatment. Veins may disappear and re-appear for a period of up to 3 months post-treatment.
